New Projects Section

A new content type and new section has been added!

Welcome to the new Project content-type, and it's new Projects section!  In this section you will find various personal projects which I have worked on, or am actively working on.  In time, this folder view will be updated to make it easier to filter which projects are active, but for the time being this information is displayed in a banner header within the project itself.

The new Project content type has several unique abilities, namely it is a container object that can contain other content objects.  At the moment, most of my projects only contain external Links related to that Project that the visitor can follow.  Additional content types which projects will include will be videos, pages, and terminal captures to really show a project in-action.  The Project content type currently supports a few custom fields, such as a screenshot, which tool or programming language this project is built with, and a URL to the project's main page, either a repository, or a website so a visitor can see the result of the project, rather then the source code.  For projects with publicly accessibly web applications online, a link to the web application URL will be provided.  If such a project also has source code available, then below the main information will be a list of links, and one of those will be to the GitHub repository containing the actual source code itself.

At the moment there isn't a lot of my personal projects added, as I just wanted to add some of my main ones that I think people will find the most interesting.  In time, this section will have a lot of my personal projects, including many I use locally, but have zero public source code available.  These closed programs I use locally will include information about it, along with either a video of me using it or captured terminal output of it being used, depending on the project itself.

This projects section will also include other non-programming projects such as games I am working on various game engines, as a way for people to learn more about those fun and interesting projects that are much less work-related.  These will be split into a separate folder structure when they are added, so stay tuned to when those will be available.
