This narrative details the career history and personal struggles of Kevin, an IT professional who specialized in Linux systems administration and Python development. Beginning with self-taught server management in the early 2000s, he eventually broke into the technology sector with roles at companies like Microsoft and PaySafe. Despite achieving periods of stable self-employment and professional success, his journey was frequently disrupted by severe mental health challenges, housing instability, and periods of homelessness.
